Working With Circles (Continued)

Google+ Guide
Part 5

NOTE: As of April 2019 Google no longer offers the Google+ platform. BOSS offers a free Expert Step-By-Step LinkedIn Guide to Get Your Business Seen Online Click here for the whole guide. This chapter is continued on from: Google+ Guide Part 4 The “About” Section which aims at helping firms navigate through their online presence.

Working With Circles Continued…..

And finally there’s “Discover” which is another way to find more people to add, except this time they’re celebrities or influencers within certain industries like technology or politics: image=”11082″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” ] The outsourcing pro’s….. With a minimum of 50 hours per month only, you can have a dedicated professionally qualified accountant!

Let’s head back to “Find people” for the moment and worry more about building our business-related circles instead of hanging out with Madonna. When you hover over one of those Add buttons you get a bunch of circle options. Let’s try this fellow here:
image=”11083″ img_size=”full” ] An account manager for all the outsourced accountant work needs…

We can tick one of the boxes next to one of the premade circles to instantly add them, or we also have the option of creating a new circle. We’re going to stick him in a new circle called “zoomUPpers” for now:
image=”11084″ img_size=”full” ] When you add someone you’ll get this little notice:

The outsourced accountant…. With a minimum of 50 hours per month only, you can have a dedicated professional accountant! image=”11085″ img_size=”full” ] He’s now shown as part of our new circle: image=”11086″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” ] You can change his circle at any time.

Now let’s hit the “Your circles” option along the top of our screen to go back to this:
image=”11087″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” ] Ta-da! We now have our new circle with two people (I added the talented and lovely young lady after the gentleman in our example above) in it, and those people’s pictures along the top, ready to be dragged into other circles if we so desire. If we hover our mouse over the zoomUPpers circle their pictures show up within the circle as well.

At the left is a nameless circle with a + symbol inside of it. This does just what you might think – it lets us create a new circle on this page.

If we click on the zoomUPpers circle it zips up to the top bar and puts the portraits of the people we have in that particular circle up along the top. (Since we only have 2 people in any of our circles it looks the same):
image=”11088″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” ] Now within the zoomUPpers circle we have the options to either delete the circle (the trash can) or edit the circle (the pencil).

The outsourced accountant – BOSS’ greatest offer….

Editing the circle allows us to change the name of the circle and gives us a text box where we can give the circle a description:
image=”11089″ img_size=”full” ] Along the top, just above the pictures, are two options, both with down arrows.
Relevance is how we sort the people from a circle when they’re in this top area. We can sort by first name, last name, relevance, or recently updated.

Actions lets us select all, increase or decrease the size of the circles on our screen, block people, remove people, etc…

Now that we have these people in one of our circles, their posts will show up in our timeline feed.
